data-end=\"125\">3DLightBeam<\/strong>, which aims to combine computational design with the extensive design freedom enabled by 3D printing of concrete (3D Concrete Printing, 3DCP). The objective is to challenge traditional reinforced concrete structures by developing new, CO\u2082-efficient solutions for concrete beams. <span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchor\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"395\" data-end=\"599\">DLightBeam+ enables the production of structurally reliable, load-bearing 3D-printed beams with a lower climate footprint through multi-level optimisation of the design based on load and stress analyses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"820\">The beam is shape-optimised to maximise bending capacity while reducing weight. The internal structure is inspired by the composition of bones, ensuring that the material performs optimally in compression and tension, respectively. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"822\" data-end=\"1060\">Using data-driven robotic control, high-precision material deposition is achieved, making it possible to place concrete and steel reinforcement only where it is structurally necessary.
