Facilitated by Danish AM Hub
Join our network for metal-based additive manufacturing

Follow the development
Metal 3D printing is developing rapidly and is transforming industries across the board-from aerospace and the energy sector to design, toolmaking, and advanced manufacturing.
But with the opportunities also come a number of shared challenges.
Through our collaboration with Danish manufacturing companies, we have found broad recognition of the significant potential of metal-based additive manufacturing. Many companies see clear opportunities to create value with the technology in their business. At the same time, they find that development has not yet truly gained momentum-for a number of different reasons:
- How do you identify the most valuable use cases and get the right stakeholders on board?
- How do you build the capabilities and partnerships needed to scale?
- How do you establish a strong and reliable network of suppliers and partners?
- How is your supply chain affected when you adopt a new design and production method?
AM Metal Network
Meet your hosts

You do not have to stand alone
We believe that a number of structural factors are currently slowing the adoption of metal-based additive manufacturing in Denmark:
Denmark does not have a strong aerospace, defence, or automotive industry, which has historically been the driving force behind the development and implementation of the technology.
Many Danish manufacturing companies operate at a scale where it is difficult to invest on their own before the technology, ecosystem, and cost level have matured further.
Join our network, which aims to mature and strengthen the use of metal-based additive manufacturing in Denmark. Here, leaders and specialists from different industries meet to explore new opportunities and share experiences on the key challenges of implementing and scaling metal 3D printing.
The network brings together representatives from Danish manufacturing companies as well as international companies with a significant presence in Denmark. What participants have in common is that they have either already invested in metal-based additive manufacturing or have an ambition to implement the technology in their production.
Why participate?
As metal-based additive manufacturing evolves, many companies face the same questions:
- Is the investment worth the money?
- How are costs expected to develop over time?
- How do we integrate additive manufacturing into our existing production?
- How do we ensure consistent quality and high reproducibility?
- Where do we find the right skills, suppliers, and partners?
As a participant in the network, you become part of a community where companies openly share experiences, challenges, best practices, and real-world cases. Together, we can reduce uncertainty, build greater confidence in the technology, and make better decisions that strengthen your company’s development.

AM Metal Network
What is included?
To create real value and support meaningful collaboration, the network meets four times a year-two in-person meetings and two online sessions.
- The two in-person meetings provide opportunities for practical insights, company visits, demonstrations, and strong personal relationships. We plan for these sessions to take place around May and November.
- The two online sessions ensure continuity, knowledge sharing, and easy participation-regardless of where in the country or the world you are located.
Across all sessions, you will have the opportunity to meet experts, hear experiences from companies already working with metal-based additive manufacturing, discuss specific challenges, and help shape a community that supports your next steps.
We also plan a one-day study trip to a relevant player in Northern Europe within a reasonable travel distance. Travel costs are not included in the participation fee.
Take the leap together
The annual participation fee is:
DKK 15,000 (excl. VAT)
Fees do not cover travel costs related to individual sessions. The two primary in-person meetings are held in Denmark and are planned based on the geographic distribution of participating companies.
The participation fee includes attendance for two colleagues, and we recommend that you participate with two people to get the greatest possible benefit from the network.

Who we are
Danish AM Hub is Denmark’s national hub for additive manufacturing (AM). Our ambition is to make Denmark a global frontrunner in the use of advanced manufacturing technologies to develop sustainable production and new business models.
We build on a solid foundation, having already helped more than 400 Danish manufacturing companies identify the right opportunities to leverage additive manufacturing technologies. In addition, we run a broad portfolio of innovation projects across the ecosystem, comprising research institutions, technology suppliers, and subject-matter experts.
