About the project

The project bridges researchers, architects, startups and manufacturers to create new business models based on market- and data-driven radical innovation. In interdisciplinary innovation teams, bio-based market opportunities are developed to proof of concept based on specific business challenges.

The purpose of BioBuild Business is to create a method for driving innovation in the construction sector, new sustainable business models, and bio-based components manufactured using new production technology. Bio-based startups, SMEs and large manufacturers must have the necessary infrastructure and expertise to develop, prototype and validate new materials, design processes and technologies at industrial scale.

Danish AM Hub (AMH) brings experience in creating such a method from more than 400 advisory engagements with manufacturers and from a radical innovation project; IAMMSHRM – In this project, it was not a single bio-based component that created the value, but a fundamentally new bio-based building system. This is what we will systematically facilitate in this project.
