Help strengthen the competitiveness and innovation capacity of Danish manufacturers
Innovation Advisor – digitalisation and AI in manufacturing companies
The role can be based at our office in either Copenhagen or Herning.
Do you have experience in streamlining product development? And are you keen to develop tools and workflows using AI? In this new role, you will translate that into helping manufacturing companies get started with improving and scaling their product development towards, for example, automation or code-driven development. This is an area with significant untapped potential, where many manufacturing companies lack the support, knowledge, and access to experts that can give them momentum.
Dansk AM Hub
Dansk AM Hub is a commercial foundation working to make Danish companies world-leading in the use of new production technology.
The core of our advisory programmes focuses on:
- working closely with companies to implement AM as a strategic tool
- supporting manufacturers in integrating sustainability risks and opportunities into their product decisions
- testing opportunities for using code and artificial intelligence in product development
At the same time, an important part of the foundation’s work is to create and contribute to projects that benefit industry, in collaboration with knowledge institutions and other stakeholders in and outside Denmark.
Your responsibilities
As an Innovation Advisor, you will be part of the advisory team driving change in manufacturing companies. We are currently developing our approach to streamlining development flows, and we believe that in the future we can help many companies with smaller tools built with AI. This is where you come in. The role is newly created, and your energy and experience will shape it along the way as we find the right approach.
Your key tasks will be
- Market development and go-to-market: identifying needs and opportunities, and together with the team developing an approach that creates value for both industry and the foundation.
- Identifying how AI and digital tools can support manufacturing companies within our core areas (sustainability in product development, streamlining development processes, additive manufacturing)
- Developing a network of experts and suppliers in the ecosystem to help companies move forward
- Contributing to ensuring that Dansk AM Hub’s overall project portfolio gets the maximum benefit from AI
You will be based in Valby or Herning, and will visit both SMEs and larger manufacturing companies across Denmark.
Who we are looking for
We expect that you have at least 5 years of experience from a software company, the consulting industry, or industry, where you have been directly involved with product development or production. Depending on your profile, the role may be more weighted towards business development or technical development. We are looking for someone who recognises themselves in a combination of the following:
- Manufacturing: Insight into workflows and technology implementation in a manufacturing company. Understanding the strategic challenges for SMEs is also an advantage.
- Hands-on AI experience: developing smaller digital tools and automating workflows using artificial intelligence
- Business development: experience with B2B market development, outbound dialogue, and sales
- Design for production: Experience with CAD tools (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino), parametric design, and design for manufacturing is highly relevant
- Energy and drive to execute: we need colleagues who are keen to tackle both the larger, complex problems, and the smaller tasks that are necessary for us to make progress every week.
