Thomas Hofman-Bang challenges Danish Companies to not claim sustainability in production, when the latest report from Industriens Fond and Akademiet for de Tekniske Videnskaber still show an increasing use of energy, water, resources and water. His message is to rethink how we design, develop and produce, and Thomas encourages us to innovate and implement new technologies – like Additive Manufacturing – that holds key benefits in regards to a more sustainable production system.

Felix Ewald will share his view about how Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing will affect our future in regards to sustainability. DyeMansion takes part in the ‘Green Deal’ and aims to be climate-neutral – an important effort by which Felix will talk about the role of the technology.

Michael Mølmer, Chief Medical Officer, Nordsjællands Hospital
During COVID-19, Michael Mølmer and AddiFab set out to make an PPE by mounting a filter on snorkel masks to keep out the Covid-19 virus. The mask, adapter and filter have, among other things, been tested by the staff at Danish Hospital’s Covid-19 sections. Michael will share with us how it started, developed and its potential – and also touch on the potential of 3D print in the health/medtech industry.

Signify’s work with Additive Manufacturing is in the spotlight. Kenneth Grönholm and Emma de Looff will shed light on Signify’s work with AM and 3D printing e.g. how they transform CDs into lampshades. They will share the company’s strategic thoughts on entering the whole, wide AM-world using the technology in its production and how this creates a green, circular journey filled with both benefits and challenges as well.

Jakob Lange, Partner, BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group
Jakob will talk about how BIG perceive the role of 3D printing in both experimental projects and in projects generally as well – and tell us about BIG’s moon project, Space Exploration Denmark, and the perspectives and outlooks within this collaboration with NASA.

Andreas Mogensen, Astronaut and Ph.D., NASA/ESA
ESA has an ambitious plan for human spaceflight that builds on 20+ years of experience on the International Space Station (ISS). Using the ISS as a scientific laboratory and testbed for exploration technologies, ESA plans to send astronauts back to the Moon, together with its international partners. At the same time, ESA is preparing the road to manned Mars mission, through robotic precursor missions. New technologies, including in-site resource utilization and 3D printing will need to be developed to enable this ambitious plan.
